When a disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross meets people's immediate needs - emergency shelter, food, and health and emotional support - and offers disaster-preparedness education and volunteer opportunities. Disaster response is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through Disaster Action Teams (call 1-800-229-8191). Serving Louisiana residents.
